Prospect Park is an oasis in Brooklyn. Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux , the same people who designed Central Park in Manhattan, Prospect Park has much to offer. It features a massive lake, a Long Meadow, a running path, horseback-riding stables, a zoo, baseball fields, and much more. The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens are right next door. There are many warm weather events such as Celebrate Brooklyn and New York Philharmonic concerts.
