Greenwich Village

One of Manhattan’s oldest neighborhoods made up of tree-lined streets with signature brownstones and smaller brick townhouses. A major artistic and cultural center and center of subversive foment throughout the twentieth century and the site of many grass-roots movements including the gay liberation movement and the Stonewall riots of 1969.
